This Privacy Policy explains how ShilpShastra handles information when you use the Android application and this website.
Information we process
- Account information: Firebase Authentication may process your name, email address, phone number, profile photo and account identifier.
- App data: Settings, selected language, reminders, notification status, saved preferences and feature usage.
- Location: Location is used for Panchang, sunrise, sunset or compass features only when you grant permission.
- Calculator and membership data: Calculator requests, results, usage counters, membership status, order identifiers and payment references may be stored using Firebase.
- Diagnostics: Device and diagnostic information may be processed to protect the service, investigate errors and prevent abuse.
How we use information
- Authenticate users and maintain their accounts.
- Provide Panchang, calculator, reminder and membership features.
- Show relevant notifications.
- Process and verify payments through Razorpay.
- Protect the app, prevent fraud and improve reliability.
- Respond to support, privacy and account requests.
Service providers
ShilpShastra uses Google Firebase for authentication, database, app integrity and backend processing, and Razorpay for payment processing. Payment card, bank and UPI credentials are entered in Razorpay Checkout and are not stored by ShilpShastra.
Storage and security
We use reasonable safeguards, including authenticated Firebase access, backend authorization, App Check and encrypted Android storage where applicable. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
- You may deny or revoke location and notification permissions.
- You may change language and reminder preferences in Settings.
- You may sign out at any time.
- You may request access, correction or deletion of account-related data by contacting us.
Children’s privacy
ShilpShastra is not directed to children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child provided personal information without appropriate consent.

We may update this policy as the app or legal requirements change. The current effective date appears above.
